Prenatal screening tests worried about Hiv

Hey everyone I had my prenatal screening done about 1.5 weeks ago and 2.5 weeks ago I had and HIV test done at the hospital because I was told I had an sti, so when I went in for treatment I asked to be tested for HIV.. I have not heard anything back from the hospital or my ob/gyn... I am so nervous for a positive result. Am I just worrying for nothing. Would I have been called from the hospital at least by now if it was +? I am 7weeks pregnant. Thank you everyone.

I had Clamidyia at age 17 and even with the 1St treatment it don't always go away so have them take Ur urine and have them test it again u won't have to have the vaginal exam

I am trying not to worry too much, only problem is my next appointment isn't until mid January. I would think they wouldn't wait that long to give a result.

I called my ob/gyn office and asked if my bloodwork was fine and reception said "The dr has not told me otherwise" but that was all she had said. I guess my mind is over working itself due to the fact that I was called and told I tested + for Chlamydia. It scared me and I felt so embarassed going in to the hospital to get my treatment and request the hiv testing. I have stopped all sexual contact, I am too terrified to trust someone to stay committed. Not to mention I found out I am now pregnant and refuse to get an abortion when he (ex partner) is pushing for me to do that.

No news is good news but I can completely understand where you are coming from because I would be freaking out not knowing either way. I would give the hospital or Ob a call just to ease your mind

If you did not hear back by two weeks then you are fine hospital don't call unless it comes back positive

I would call and request your results. Usually you will show positive within 3 months of exposure so they should be accurate - and they 'should' have it by now. Most results only take a few days (if not minutes) to get back.

The person I was with I was seeing off and on since August this year. So anywhere from 1-4 months ago. Have not been active since beginning of November.

Do you know when exposure might have occurred?
