Prenatal screening

So last month i did my screening to see if the baby has downs anything like that tomorrow i have my monthly check up plus the results of the test. Im really scared. No matter how it cimes out im.keeping my baby i love it so much already. If something was really serious wouldnt they call me before my check up? Anyone else been through this. I need to call my nerves. i am 19 weeks 2 days.

I woulndt worry. Im 25 weeks and my son failed the down syndrome test at 12 weeks. We saw the genetic specialist and it turns out he probably isnt going to have it. A lot of women get false positives and the only way to really know is an amnio. Just relax. Everything will be okay(:

They called me within a week of my test bc my baby levels where high (can't remember the hormone name tho) they said it could be nothing or it could mean a whole in my babys body like spina bifida. So we went to see a specialist that week but turns out it was the nothing no abnormalities were seen on the ultrasound and doc says sometimes some babies hormone levels are just higher than usual. I'm sure everything will be okay either way you'll love him or her the same. Wish you the best

Don't stress my doctor told me those test have a high false positive ik someone who it showed positive then a week later she went back for test n it came back negative so stress or worry yourself

My Dr informed me any problems she would call me if I didn't hear from her not to worry we would discuss the results during the next visit. I'm sure if they found something serious they would call since they would rather discuss a medical abortion as soon as possible the window is only 20 weeks

Hi I has a triple marker test done last Friday (im assuming that's what you're talking about) dose any one no how long it takes for it to come back? My ob said no call is a good one and if someone from the office calls the they would tell me and at my next appt we would talk and also its my big ultrasound

Its less of a chance for ur bubba to have ds cause your young. I had the same scare though, my 21 week ultrasound showed a white dot on my bubbas heart, which meant ther was a slight sign baby could have ds, I had to wait until I was 33 weeks for my next ultrasound to see if the dot went away or it actually meant something more. Thankfully though!!! I had my scan a couple days ago and my daughter was laying in a hard postion but the tech said it looks like the dot has disapeared :D. So thankfully to finally hear those words & im sure you will hear the same. It is scarey but just be positive, ive had so many test this pregnancy come up and my doctors tell me I have this and that and my baby could have all this crap and I finally got the all clear on my bubba, now I just need her to come out so I can see for myself that she is okay! You will never stop stressing about bubba so just try your best to stay positive cause no matter how baby is, its your little miracle and you will love that baby and spoil them like no other :)

Ya they're suppose to call you if anything is wrong...that's with any test you take such as the glucose n anemia...I always got nervous for every test n when I went to my apt everything came out fine :)

The Dr's i know won't call you they'll actually wait for you next appt to tell you anything. Some of them aren't very nice though but you never know. I'd say you call them and ask would be your best bet. Best wishes hun

When we went through the tests my midwife told me that if there was ever anything wrong she would call me before I seen her next. So yes I think your doctor would call you if there was something wrong. Try not to worry about it worrying isn't going to help. Hope this helps :)

Im going through the same thing only I had my screening 2 days ago now and dont have my appointment for another 3 weeks :/ I believe if there truly is something wrong they will call you before your next appointment. Good luck!
