Prg test accuracy?

How effective is a over the counter preg test if I am a wk late for my period? Does it matter if I do it in the morning or later in the night?

It's best to do it in the morning, but since you're a week late it should be fairly accurate during the day, so long as your urine isn't too diluted. Good luck, and let me know how you go? (: xx

I've tested positive with each one of my pregnancies at about 3 weeks and they were dollar store tests using first morning urine. With this pregnancy I tested 10 days after I ovulated and got a positive using the same brand. Good luck!

If a test come back positive you are defiantly positive. If it comes back negative it can be false due to not enough of the hormone been produced, so if there is a chance do it again in two weeks time. Your better of doing it in the morning as it has a better chance of detecting the hormone, but it doesn't matter that much when you do it. hope that helps. best of luck.
