Problem with 20 wk Ultrasound
So today was the day to find out the sex of the baby but instead I found out sad news. The u/s tech seems a bit nervous and practically ran out of the room at one point to get a dr. I became nervous and the dr said there were a few cyst on the kidneys and the fluid around the baby was low. He said that baby cant urinate because of it. I have another appointment tomorrow with my dr and we'll see what to do.
I just cant stop crying it just seemed like a death sentence. I saw the heartbeating pretty good 158 but it hard not to think the worst. Every since I got home I've been on the internet trying to google it and see what was anyone elses outcome. This is the worst. Also because the fluid was so low she couldnt tell what the sex of the baby was. The baby measured 18 weeks or so and I'm 21w3d. My last two u/s I measured right on target. It's going to be hard next 24 hrs.
Anyone else had this issue before or heard of it? I would like to know the outcome.

Im soo sorry you are going through this. My eyes tear from knowing what you are going through. I lost my first at 25 weeks due to no amniotic fluid when i got to the hospital it was too late but i did not know what cause it? i never leak or anything like that my ultrasound was at 18 weeks for the fetal anatomy and all the her body parts where working normal so from the 18 week to the 25 week something happened? We had the choice to do an autopsy but my lil girl was so small i just couldnt do it or imagine it so we let her rest. I always think that maybe i wasnt drinking enough water or how did i not notice something was wrong? but then i asked my peri after 20 weeks gestation who produces the amnio fluid and he said the fetus so maybe she had bladder problems i don't know even though her anatomy was normal. Now with pregnancy since i had fluid problems im getting ultrasounds every 2 weeks to make sure the level is normal..im sorry you have to go through this and my prayers are with you..God will help you go through this day by day..i will pray for the baby and your family God bless you
I delivered my angel at 19 weeks (trisomy 13), its a hard thing to do and people just don't get it...it's not like a regualr miscarriage and it will be hard to heal emotionally, Surround yourself with loved ones
I AM SO SORRY I KNOW THAT THE LORD WILL HELP YOU THROUGH THIS HE KNOWES WHAT HE IS DOING HE NEED A NEW LITTLE ANGLE IN HEAVEN JUST LOOK AT IT THIS WAY YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A ANGLE LOOKING OUT FOR YOU UP ABOVE YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS LOTS OF ((((((HUGS))))))
I am so sorry.... I am hoping and praying that god will help you threw this. I know you are sad right now, and hurt. But know we are all here for you... My prayer are so much with you.
I'm so sorry for what you're going through! I lost my daughter at 36 weeks and it just breaks my heart everytime I hear of someone else that has gone through it or is experiencing it! I'm just so sorry!! Please pm me if you ever need anything! You and your baby are in my prayers! (HUGS)

I just posted in you journal! I didnt think you reposted it on here! Again my heart goes out to you!!
Thanks to everyone for your thought and prayers, however things arent good. We went to the drs and they looked over the pictures and confirmed the worst. The baby has several cyst on both of the kidneys and can't produce urine. There was no visable bladder. Since the baby couldnt produce urine there was no fluid around the baby and the lungs cant develop without it. Also the baby cant move around because of the lack of fluid so the muscles and nerves cant develop properly. Bascially there is no chance the baby will survive. So I'll be going into the hospital by the end of the week to deliever the baby. Im too sad right now and I'll just take a little time off from medhelp.
I wish I could say something that would help....but I just want to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you!!

My prayers go out to you, please hope for the best.......hopefully with medicine and technology they can hopefully do wonders for you. Have you found anything on the internet that fits what is happending to you? Does the cysts have anything to do with the low Fluid, or are they two seperate things?
Just wanted to let you know you and your baby will be in my prayers. I have had two separate scares during this pregnancy and the waiting to find out if everything would be OK was the worst worst worst part. :( Hang in there. I hope you find out good news tomorrow.
My heart goes to you and ur baby.. I would hope that ur doctor is going to try to keep that baby is as long as he can. maybe putting you in the hospital, and monitor you and your little one for a bit, and give lots of fluid. Maybe that will bring ur levels up a bit, enough to keep him in a few more weeks at the least.
