Pros & cons of being induced

Ok my friend has the option of being induced tomorow or Monday, abit about her she's had a pretty ok pregnancy.. She's diabetic but was prior to The pregnancy, no problem with bp or anything like that.. She's also a bit paranoid she goes to the hospital almost everyweek saying she  can't feel the baby move.. Sometimes I think she does I think it's a problem she has.
So anyway she went today cos o f not feeling Many movements baby is fine & healthy but the doctor said if she's not happy with the movements tomorow they will "start her off"

I've tried to tell her that she should wait for it to happen on it's own seeing as there is nothing wrong with the baby n no real reason to be induced, she's 38+2 but I don't know what I should say to her like bad or good points to waiting  any advice?!

I would say tell her to wait because I think it would be nice for things to happen on it's on eventhough I have no experience with it because I was induced with my first and even though everything went great and it wasn't a long labor I would have loved to go on my own. Won't get the chance because I will also be induced with this baby unless I get lucky and he comes before my induction date.

Agreed. I had to be induced with my first because my water broke and the labor was longer and even with an epidural it was more painful than with my second.

I'd tell her to wait. I know many women are so uncomfortable, worried and excited all at the same time...it's not a good idea if there is nothing wrong.
The baby still needs it's growing time and will come when it's ready. From what I hear...induction causes a lot more problems then what would happen if mom just went into labour on her own. It'll be a lot easier on her if she waits.

iv had both natural and induced and id take natural anyday cos induced hurt like hell its soo much stress on your body as its been pushed into something it dint wanna do i had spd a cracked pubic bone i was 37 1/2 weeks and i had it again with the preg after but didnt want to be induced good luck to her  and you cos by the sounds of it shes gunna need a whole lot of convincing x
