Question about BH contractions

I know from my OB telling me, and from what I've read online and of course heard on here that with BH contractions to not worry about them unless they start coming at regular intervals or you have more then 5 in one hour for the possibility it could be preterm labor. My ob told me full term was 37 weeks. My question is at how many weeks do you stop worrying about more then that many BH contractions in an hour and start timing them to see if your in early labor? So far I've 4 in the last hour and they are getting very uncomfortable. I havent been timing them. I'm 36 weeks and since technically thats not term should I be worried and call L&D and see what they say? Thanks ladies

No problem glad to help :). I have a sinus infection which is making it hard to sleep so I figured I'd come on here and see who's up and I'd answer random questions. Even if it is really labor at 37 weeks it would be fine. Baby will be big and healthy and such. I hear the last week or two leading up to delivery the BH contractions get intense and are more difficult to differentiate between the real deal. I'm sure in another month I'll be on here asking the same thing!  Well if anything this will be a good alarm clock to pack your hospital bag ;). You sound like me, I haven't packed yet either (I'm 31 weeks) and all the other ladies who are about to be first time mommys like me are thinking I'm nuts, they have already packed!  It will get done eventually. I hope that the BH have gone away and are letting you get some sleep. Sweet dreams

Yeah I'm about to get a glass of water right now and go lay down and see if they go away. If they don't ill call L&D and see if they want me to come in. Thanks for answering SunWorshiper, i wasnt expecting anyone to answer at this time of night lol. I'm going to start timing them as well and see if they are coming at regular intervals. Hopefully she stays in there atleast for another week! I dont have her bassinet set up or the hospital bag packed yet!

Try drinking a full glass of water (at least one full glass) make sure that you have an empty bladder and then try changing activities. If you are still getting them and more than five an hour than yes call or go in. Or if you are worried call or go in now, that's what they are there for :)
