Question about period after M/C

Ok, i M/C 26th November and bleed for around 3-4 days, i was told i was yet to pass the sac, when i went back to the hospital 3rd Jan i was told that my M/C was complete and the sac had gone. I then bled for around 3-4 days so im trying to work out if that was my period or not?? Im totally confused about it all and want to know whats going on with my body, as we want to try again for baby mumber 2 but have no idea when im going to ovulate or anything!!!
Please someone help!

I was told that if you have a m/c naturally, then you need to count that as your period because after it's said and done you will ovulate again....... You count it just like you do a period.. From the first day you started bleeding or spotting....
