Question about sex during early pregnancy?

I need some help!! i had sex earlier with my boyfriend and after i went to the bathroom. I had some pinkish redish spotting, but now it is five hours later and i am still spotting. Is this normal. We kind of got carried away and i am worried that we may have hurt the baby. i still very early(just found out a week ago). Am i going to miscarry or will the spotting quit within a couple of hours. please give me some info, i am really nervous. Just went through a miscarriage two months ago.

I finally stopped bleeding (not heavy at all just mainly when i went to the restroom). I was sure that i was miscarrying(no cramps whatsoever) because i had thick mucousy blood.  I called my doctor(haven't had an appointment yet because i am still early) she said that  we probably broke a blood vessel in the cervix because it is swollen and the bleeding should quit and everything should be okay. Thanks for the reassurance, it is greatly appreciated.

Your cervix could be lower or enlarged and therefore in a position that normally isn't 'bothered' by sex...it could just be some friction from the position causing the bleeding...I would caution however that it could be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy...if the bleeding continues or you get any pain, I'd call the doctor tomorrow.  Good luck!

Hon, don't worry... You should be fine. Sex is ok during early pregnancy unless for some reason your OB has told you not to. And the spotting is probably because you irritated the cervix during sex.... A friend of mine who has 2 health babies, and is pregnant with the 3rd right now bleeds her entire pregnancies like she's on her period. The drs don't know why but she does..... I would NOT worry too much about it unless you start cramping really badly or the spotting turns to red blood and is heavy..... And just be more careful when you have sex.... Lol....... I know.. Rough sex is alway's fun... *LMAO*

Sexual intercourse during pregnancy will not cause you to miscarry.  The spotting may be because the sex was a little rough.
