Question for those who have had 2 or more c-sections.

hey ladies, I am currently 13 weeks with baby # 3, and my previous 2 were c-sections.  I had always thought that the 2nd c-section was easier then the first, but this wasnt the case for me.  With my second, it was horrible, even after they discharged me I would just cry because I was in so much pain I could barely move.  I am starting to get concerned if that is normal, because I REALLY dont want to go through pain like that again.  Im normally pretty good with pain, with my 1st c-section if I dont ebven think i took 2 of the painkillers, of course with the second I HAD  to take them to even make the pain bearable.  Should I talk to my dr about this? its a new dr.  Maybe something went wrong with the 2nd one that caused so much pain? maybe it can be prevented? I dunno, just thought i would try to get some opnions from women who have had more the one c-section to see if the pain got better or worse...thanks!!!!

I also have had 2 c-sections, and am pregnant with #3 and am 13w2d today. Both my c sections were about the same though. I was able to take myself off the pain meds withing a few days and just delt with a lot of the pain. It wasnt bad though. I had the same doctor both times. I wonder if the extra pain the second time around for those of you that had more was because of the scar tissue. I have heard that scar tissue can be more painful when healing than an original incision. Ask your doctor about it and what the possible risks are. I would also ask what could have caused you to be in more pain last time.

I have had two c-sections, and my right ovary removed, threw the same incision.  The pain wasnt back with any of them.  I only ended up with a spinal headache, from my epideral.  I didnt take any pain meds, my nurses showed me how to move without hurting.  They made me this pain pillow, which was only a sheet wrapped up really tight, and I used it to get up, move around, cough.  So get a sheet wrap it tight into a small rectangle, tape up the back good.  You wont believe how easy it makes life.  I want to nurse so no pain pills for me.. But good luck girls.  I am 29 weeks now and will have my c-section in about 6-7 weeks.. If I make it that long, LOL..

i too have had two c-sections. I am trying for my third baby with no luck yet, but the pain with my second baby was so much greater then the first. I was in so much more pain. i did the same thing with the pain pills with the first i quit after a few days and then with the second i made myself quite after a week because i hated the way they made me feel and my DH had to go back to work so i had to stay at home with thekids so i had to be lucid. i think that you should bring it up with the doc and maybe they will be able to manage it better. best of luck to you and let me know when you have that baby so i know what to look forward to with #3..lol..
