Questions about my doctors appointment today.

Ok as you all know I am now 34.3 weeks and today almost every week for the last few weeks the doctor has been checking my cervix. Well normally it isnt uncomfortable I mean it dosnt feel great but it dosnt hurt. Well I am not dialiated or efaced but when he checked me today it stung and was very painful. Is it possible that he began my dialiation? I am just concerned that this baby isnt going to come until after my due date.... I have also been really crampy and I feel a lot more pressure in my abdomen. Any advice is appriciated.

Just a thought, but maybe the baby's head is starting to engage more!  That way if the baby's head is pressing down, and the doc is pressing up, might make kind of a pinching feeling!!
