Quick Question

Okay this may sound weird but I have been having a lot of diarrhea today. I know during pregnancy you are supposed to experience constipation, is it a problem to have the opposite?

Ya I got diarrhea very early on, but it hasn't happened since.

oh hon your fine it could be foods hormones. Everywoman is different you wont have every symptom there is ir the exact way others will have them. you should br fine :)

Do you have the book "What to Expect When Expecting"? One of the women who wrote the book answered a question about symptoms. One woman was concerned because she didn't have symptoms or at least had the opposite symptoms. The answer to her question was something like, "We get nervous when we don't have the text book symptoms and we think something is wrong. But the truth is that some women get the symptoms and other don't! Both are normal!"

I was paraphrasing because a neighbor has my book right now, but that is the gist of her answer.

I've heard you can have diarrhea or constipation. Drink plenty of water as you can become dehydrated very quickly.

with both my pregnancies I never had constipation...... I had loose bowel movements with my son in the first trimester so I would not worry too much.....

no problem...probably just shifts in hormones......I wouldn't worry!
