Rapid Heart Rate

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and my resting heart rate has gone up to 165 beats per minute, I went to the emergency room and the doctor said it's normal during pregnancy. Has anyone else had this happen to them and if so how do you deal with it? It's scary!

When I start to experience a rapid heartbeat or I feel I can't breathe I drink lots of water and it helps

Wow that's a little higher than normal! You're tearing heartbeat usually does increase slightly (as does your blood pressure) while you're pregnant, but more than an extra thirty beats a minute is not normal as far as I know. Rest as often as you can over the weekend, drink a ton of water, and call your doctor/midwife first thing on Monday. They know your health history better than a stranger in the er.
