Rash or Stretch Mark?

So yesterday morning I woke up with my stomach being extremely itchy. Its only itchy on my tattoo and when I investigated it looks like there is little red bumps however I can't figure out if they are stretch marks or maybe some weird chemical reaction from the tattoo. So my question is 1) can stretch marks be bumps and not lines? 2) would they only develope in one place rather than on both sides? 3) how do I stop the itchiness since if they are stretch marks itching I hear makes them bigger. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

My tattoo is over 2 years old and I believe completely healed. I'm using benadryl cream on them right now to stop the itching but my doctor said its just a pregnancy rash and nothing I can really do about it. :(

As for the lotions yeah I hear that they actually dont work at all other then to nourish the skin. Kind of a depressing thought but I figure what the hay if I get them I get them nothing I can do about it but I still am holding out the slightest amount of hope that it will work! :)

how old is the tatoo and it is healed completly  ?   try using hydrocortisone cream  completly safe for  you  to use    wil help stop the itching  and don't scratch it only makes it worse by iritating the skin  and you can make it  get infected even if you rwash your hands a lot there are a lot of germs under finger nails  keep the area clean and  put on the ointment twice a day for about 3 - 5 days  it should go away  .  and stretch marks  are usually long  and can be thin or wide  they don't go away   . and the cream made for stretch marks  doesn't work any better than  ordaniary coco  butter  lotion  . nothing and i do mean nothing  will stop them or make them be less its all in how your body chemistry is  . some women have more collegen in there body  than others  meaning they won't get them as much or at all  and some women will just get them  the lotion helps keep the skin moist so it feels better when it does stretch but thats about all it does   sorry    been there twice working on baby number three  i learned the hard  way don't waste your money   . good luck to you

i would think some anti itch cream or something like gold bond powder would be absolutly fine.  I know that something like getting bleach spilled all over your stomach is not harmful to the baby so i wouldnt think cream or powered would be.  You could call and ask to speak to the nurse and just ask her if that would be okay or your could ask the pharmacist at your local pharmacy they will know if it is okay.  I hope you feel better soon.

I'm trying to enjoy it but I think I'm going to rip my skin off... and I didn't get to talk to the doctor I had to talk to the secretary who was the one that said he'd look at it at my next appointment. I'm concerned because I would like to take anti allergy meds or something but I cant do that unless I get the okay same goes with anti itch ointments. :(

does not sound like stretch marks ( i would know since my stomach is covered from my 3 yr old who was a 10 lb baby :) ) But if the doctor isnt that worried about it I would relax...and try and enjoy your pregnancy.  :)

Hmmm... see I've been using stretch mark cream since I found out I was pregnant and have switched brands or anything or used any new types of lotion. I too think its a rash but my doctor wont look at it until our appointment next week and its driving me crazy now! *sigh* the joys of pregnancy! :)

do you use any kind of lotion on your stomach?  my sister in law got a rash during her pregnancy from the lotion she was using for specifically for stretch marks.  i don't think you're describing a stretch mark, though.  it just sounds like a rash.
