Raw Eggs in pie

I'm a ftm so I don't know if eating a pie that has raw eggs in it is bad for the baby. I have been eating this pie my whole life and many pregnant woman in my family have too. I just wonder because my step mom said its bad and she is a RN. Any suggestions?

U should avoid eating raw eggs because there is a chance of salmonella which can harm the baby. Even eating soft boiled eggs can be a risk and the recipe doesn't really matter or what kind of food it is pie, mayonnaise or soft ice cream. Better to stay on safe side and wait with the pie after the childbirth.

If the pie is not baked after you add the eggs, then no, technically it is not safe. You run the risk of salmonella contamination.

It's a family recipe for chocolate pie. You beat the eggs for 5 mins per 2 eggs and u beat it for a total of 10 mins then refrigerate.
