It is normal to have discharge right before your period as well.

Tryingforbaby2 is correct - not everyone ovulates 14 days before their period but that is the average amount of time and why I said to have sex several days before and after the estimated date of ovulation. Pinpointing that date takes a lot of variables into consideration but armed with all this information I hope you're able to find it much easier and have a baby!

I would recomend the OPK's over BBT. They won't tell if you ovulated but will tell when you are supposed to. BBT's don't work for everyone (me being one of those) and can get stressful. Also, 14 days before your period like Joyrenee said but there are a few of us who this doesn't work exactly like that. OPK's will help with this though. Good luck to you.

ok. i will track my CM from now on, lets see. but still im not sure if im late or not. last cycle, i had a clear stretch CM, 3-4 days b4 my period. i dont know if its normal or not, anyway, i didnt want to miss that chance so we had sex on that day too. but still nothing. I will keep these things in my mind. ( sorry to hear about your honeymoon. Hope you never 4get those days, which is also in a good memmory, b'side we had our honeymoon, after 3 years of marriage, we went to QATAR. 25days of vaccation away from a bz life)

Ugh, I was pregnant on my honeymoon and I was ill the entire time. Seriously. I just stayed in bed and ate Spaghettios and watched horror movies (we got married Oct 30). Not exactly my idea of a romantic honeymoon!

thefebygirl - You must have sex before ovulation so sperm has time to travel to the egg, yes. I do not do BBT or OPK. I just had sex anytime there was any vaginal discharge (clear, stretchy mucous that you notice when you wipe after going pee). Keep doing your research and check out the book I recommended (you can find it on Amazon). If your cycles are regular and you know how long they last you can estimate your ovulation time. Your cycle starts on the first day of your period. It will end the day before your next period starts. So if you get your period every 30 days you will ovulate about the 16th day after your cycle starts. Have sex three days or more before that day and up to that day. It is also good to have sex a day or two after your suspected ovulation time in case you ovulate late.

I agree sweetpea03. Wait until after the wedding. If you get married while you are pregnant you wont be able to drink at your wedding or on your honeymoon. If you have a newborn baby and get married you'll be away from your newborn and it will make your honeymoon stressful. Not to mention you'll have a lot less to spend on the wedding.

You have to start charting when you ovulate and then have sex about a day or two before then. Though, I am curious as to know why are you trying to get pregnant now? and not after you get married.

Actually you can have sex many days preceding ovulation. You don't have sex the day after ovulation or you can miss the egg. It only lives for about 24 hours, sometimes up to 48 hours. Also women ovulate about 2 weeks BEFORE their period, not after. This is a very common misconception and one that causes women to not be able to conceive as they're not having sex at the correct time in their cycle. Your period does not determine when you will ovulate. Based on a chain of hormones in the woman's body ovulation actually predicts when you will expect your next period. Taking Charge of Your Fertility is a good read to understand further how the woman's cycle works.

well, you should have sex around your ovulation time. you can track your ovulation days by BBT or OPK. or if you have a regular period, you can count 14 days of your 1st period. you can have sex after one days of your ovulation. You need to relax and rest atleast 30mts after sex. you can slightly elevate your body by putting a pillow under. Hope my opinion helps. Good Luck :)

You need to have sex when you ovulate in order to become pregnant. When you have sex right before your period the egg has already died and can no longer be fertilized. You ovulate about 14 days BEFORE your expected period.

For example if you have a 36 day cycle you will ovulate on or around the 22nd day of your cycle. The first day of your cycle is the first day of your period (blood flow). When your body prepares for ovulation there will be discharge; this discharge helps keep sperm alive as the vagina is very acidic and sperm very sensitive. My rule is to have sex anytime you have discharge (unless the discharge is green or foul smelling as that is the sign of infection).
