I'm not pregnant, Rissa. We went through this last night.
I've had experience as a labor coach in a city hospital, have taught teens childbirth and done classes and one on one teaching child care and newborn care.
This forum is for discussions about pregnancy and pregnancy concerns. You don't have to be pregnant to be on here, as we went over last night.
@Rockrose how far along are you? It says that you are 53 years old?
I don't know whether your doctor will limit your salt intake - but for the time being, it would be a good idea to go with zero added salt to your food.
Once you start eliminating sodium you will be shocked at how hard it is - everything has sodium, including sweet breakfast cereals!
So eating prepared foods is pretty much out, even ones that say reduced sodium
You can eat whole foods though - whole vegetables that you steam, whole fruits, rice, meats that you flavor with onions or herbs like basil, oregano, garlic, etc.
Best wishes.
Thank you ladies :) I did do a blood pregnancy test and it came out positive when all the pee ones were negative I don't know why that happens to me it happened with my first pregnancy also. I have my doctors appointment on Wed. Im just so scared of loosing my baby since I lost my other 2 babies. So do I just cook food without salt at all? Before I got pregnant I hated salt so I hardly put any salt on food but now its really getting to me. I guess ill have to ask my doctor on Wed.

Reby, I agree with the others that you should temporarily cut out salt, and make an appointment very soon to see an OB. I don't know how often you'll need to be seen, but you've got enough complications that you should be seen very soon.
Best wishes.
You should make an appointment as soon as possible since you are high risk to make sure that you and the baby are doing fine. As for the appointments that is something that your doctor is going to have to determine, you can't just tell the doctor when you want to be seen.
You should see your doctor every four wks but if you are at high risk pregnancy you might have to go to the clinic and see whats going on so they can tell you. Good luck and congrats
And if salt is makeing u feel like that then stop eating it!
I would think probaby every two weeks if not once a week. I would cut out salt and see if that helps. Also the more you drink the less you retain. Congrats and beat of luck to you with your pregnancy
Have u taken a test yet? If not u really need to take one! Also the doc will tell u how offten u should come in and be seen! Good luck
