Round Ligament Pain

For those who have experienced it, I'd love some answers as I have no idea what it feels like.

I am 20 weeks pregnant, and a few times a day, I have sharp pains in my stomach.  Sometimes it is more on my side, and sometimes, it is low down on my pelvis.  It isn't extreme pain, just noticeable.  It's a stabbing sensation, lasts a second, then goes away.  It's the one low on my pelvis that scares me the most.  Is this normal?  Is this what round ligament pain is?

you have several ligaments in there not just the ones on the side! the one your feeling lower in your pelvis is probably the ligament that holds the middle of the uterus basically...you can look up pictures online and it'll help to target more of what your feeling!! but it souunds to me like round ligament pain!! and also it could be from your uterus stretching out a lot. that can be painful at times! :)

Thanks, I've been so worried.  I figured the ones on my side are normal, but I am also experiencing way low down on the pelvis, off to the right side.  It's definitely on the side, but more center than I thought round ligament pain would be, if that makes any sense.

it sure is!! lol  AND  it su**s! LOL i get it all the time too..whenever you move to quick or turn a certain way to soon!! It feels like a knife stabbing you or feels like something is tearing away! But usually dont last anymore then a few seconds to a min or so!! :) Not much we can really do about it either i dont think but its normal unless its coming and going in a pattern which then is known as contractions!! Oh and its normal! :)
