Cassandrajane~~~I'm taking Iron supplements, and no I haven't had the ultrasound yet, it'll probably be after 34 weeks.
Sunkissed19~~~I've heard about the milk thing, the only thing that REALLY $UCK$ about that is I have acid reflux/indigestion and heartburn. I take zantac 2x a day, but if I drink a lot of acidic stuff, like this morning I drank orange/tangerine juice, it makes it bad throughout the day even with the zantac. That's why I drink the milk...foods, drinks, even water can make it burn.
I felt that way with low iron too, maybe u need more than the supplement your taking...i had to take a lot. as soon as i got the right dosage...Iron was like speed to me (lol jk) but i had so much more energy to do things! it was like drinking an energy drink! Also, u might want to remember to never take your iron pills with dairy products...calcium blocks iron absorption....so if your taking ur pills with milk or yogurt at breakfast it wont be as effective...take it with vitamin c...it helps the absorption. Also remember to not drink milk if your eating meat for dinner (or things with high iron) or you wont get all the benefits. While i was pregnant i drank a crap ton of milk and as soon as i cut back a little...especially around the things i mentioned...it really helped! thats what my ob told me to do.
Heylo, I am like that sometimes, I live in a 3 floored house, I will walk up one flight of stairs and well, I'm so out of breath, I need to carry my ventilator everywhere. I can do nothing and then go all tight and outta breath, And as soon as I wake up, within half and hour, I am dosing off falling asleep again....
My doc point blank REFUSED to test me for anemia, even though I was fainting and things about 4 times a week she put it down to my blood pressure being 60/90... or the other way round..
Are you taking anything for your low Iron?
and have they found out if your little one is breech or not?
xx
I know, I don't have that much longer...but if I continue this way I'll never get anything done, and I have so much to do already, and Elijah to take care of. I can't just sit around all day and not be able to get up and do anything. DH works Mon-Fri he's gone before 6 and isn't home until at least 5 most days.
I had it when my iron was low. I was mid 20 weeks or so. (I can't remember for sure when it happened) And it made doing housework and grocery shopping so exhausting. Almost as soon as I would start I would be out of breath and worn out. As a result it took me forever to get it all done cause I would have to keep stopping to rest. It should get better when your levels go up, though you're getting closer to the end, so you might not notice a huge change. Hang in there!!! Not too much longer to go.
*bump* Anyone else agree it's just the low iron? I had the same problem with Elijah's pregnancy, but don't remember being THIS out of breath, or THIS worn out...and yeah I have a two year old I run after, but I seriously stay off my feet MOST of the day....I feel lazy almost, lol.
Thanks...I've been taking it for almost um...two weeks? I can't remember when I started it...but it's SO freakin annoying! I don't feel like I have energy to do anything, and I've been having to tell Elijah to wait until Josh gets home to do this, or that, because I can't anymore...it's pathetic. I've been trying to get in more iron, I'm gonna ask for it to be checked again at my next appointment, since it will have been 4+ weeks...God I hope this doesn't continue for the rest of my pregnancy, or it's gonna be a long 10 1/2 weeks...
i had this happend when i was like 3 months along, i would walk to the kitechen or alil through walmart and have to sit down cause i couldnt breathe. and yea i talked to my doctor about it and he did say it was cause of low iron, theres really no advise to give, just wanted to let u know, i know how it feels and its a horrible feeling.. hang in there hun..
