First baby I was scared about the birth but once everything started happening I was actually fine and calm. This time around im panicking and freaking out hardcore! I have no idea why but I am. Im a little scared to be honest.
Thanks ladies. Any tips on how to get this process started a little faster? I'm 80% effaced and dilated 1cm. I don't want to go over my due date! Plus, my mother in law thinks I'll be 5 days late. I can't let her be right lol
I was a heavy drinker, love everyday drinking (I was in college don't judge me lol) I had my first baby last year, & towards the end of the pregnancy I finally had wine (to help my baby come faster) & I didn't enjoy the headaches it gave me, so after labor I didn't have any alcohol til my baby was 9months. I did breastfeed and pump all the time until 9 months. That was just my choice I didn't care to get drunk or have hangovers and have to take care of the baby the next day. I'll probably be the same way with this next baby as well.
I was often told that you can pump and dump after drinking though but if you value your milk you'll hate to dump it lol
I don't drink much n especially not wine more of a beer type.. But I'm sure if u pump before u drink and have some ready for the baby and then wait 1-2 hours you'll be just fine! & this is my 4th and nobody is truly ready for labor!! I had an epidural just because that is not the place I want to feel pain lol
I'm so excited to have a nice glass of whiskey. There's nothing wrong with being excited to enjoy the things you couldn't have while you were pregnant. As long as you don't over do it your baby will be fine. I have 11 days till I'm induced. You will be just fine. Don't fight what your body is doing.
I was scared both times before delivering. I don't know if anything can prepare you. Juat know that your body knows how to give birth and try to stay positive. You can do it! And it's all with it once you hold your precious baby. I read a study on alcohol and breastfeeding and very little of it goes into your milk. They say that more goes through during the first 3 months though. Anything does. Medication, herbs, alcohol. Something about the milk the first 3 months make things go through more easily. If you wait an hour after you drink before you nurse though then baby will be fine.
