Scared guy looking for advice

I am 19 years old and I had sex last night, during the sex the condom fell off, I don't know how long for. I am wondering what the chances are that the girl will get pregnant. I am calling her shortly to talk to her about it. If she is on the pill etc. But theoretically if she isn't what is the likelihood that she is pregnant?

it all depends on her cycle and whether she knows it well.. i mean some women can ovulate on day 14 but others ovulate on day 23 and get their period on day 28 everyone is different but there is a chance and sperm can live inside a woman for up to a week-new researches find...good luck...

Plan b just causes the lining of the uterus to shed...like a period so that a fertilized egg cannot attach itself.  She would need to take it according to the directions and that would be it.  You would not need to purchase it again.  I am assuming you are fairly close with this girl as you did have sex with her!  So, when you talk to her, tell her that you are concerned about the other night, and that you want to talk about it some more so that you can have peace of mind.  Tell her that you love her (only if you do!) and that you just aren't ready for children yet and therefore you want to know if she knows where she is in her cycle.  You may have to help her with this because some women are clueless...ask her when the first day of her last period was (first day of bleeding) and then count that as day one and continue until you hit the date where you had intercourse...IF it is around day 14 (pretending that she has 28 day cycles) then you should talk to her about the plan b because she was ovulalting/fertile and the chances are high....OR if it was three days before ovulation, your little swimmers could be up there waiting for the egg all that time...OR if it was within two days past ovulation.  Good luck!

Thank you guys I really appreciate your help as I am about ready to vomit. I am still very nervous because she is at work. I tried called but there was no answer. I don't exactly know how to broach this subject with her, should I just come out with it and ask? I just went out and bought plan b (in case the stores would be closed later tonight) Does plan b "destroy" the egg? Or how does it work. I am asking this because if in fact my sperm was active in the vaginal tract for three days would she need to take it again? Again thank you guys so much for your help.

It really all depends on where she is in here menstrual cycle.  Basically, most women have 28 day cycles.  Around the 14th day she releases and egg to be fertilized and therefore become pregnant.  If the egg isn't fertilized, then she will get her period 14 days later.  The egg realistically only lives about 24 hours SO women really only have a 24 hour window in which to get pregnant, so unless she was ovulating or will ovulate in the next three days (that is how long your sperm can live up to) then the chances are probably slim.  Just to give you an idea, my husband and I have been actively trying for 7 months...having constant unprotected sex and purposefully doing it during my fertile window (two days before I ovulate, day I ovulate and a couple days after)...after seven months of this we are finally pregnant =)  So, try to have a conversation with this girl so you can figure out the chances.  IF she has a 29 day cycle, she'd ovulate 14 days before that on the 15th day...IF she has a 30 day cycle she'd ovulate on the 16th day.  And, just FYI, the first day of a period is considered cycle day one...she might not know all this so make sure you do.  Good luck!

It depends on if she was in her fertal time its about half way between her periods.

Well, I am a female who is pregnant, and also an LPN (not on this fourm though). She would have to be having a fairly normal menstrual cycle, and would have had to have been ovulating during the time to become pregnant. If there was sperm in the condom when it fell off in her and the sperm leaked into her vaginal tract, there is a chance she could become pregnant. Sperm can sometimes hang around in the vaginal tract a few days and wait for an egg to come out to fertalize. This is how my husband and I recently became pregnant... I didn't think I was ovulating when I got that way - however we're happy about baby #2! (Not trying to scare you) But anyway, I would call her and see if she is taking any birth control, and ask if she knew whether or not she was ovulating during the time. Chances are she probably isn't pregnant... but there is always a possibility if she was ovulating, and enough active sperm got into the vaginal tract that could hang around a few days, she could become that way. When I was younger & dating a guy, a condom actually fell off and broke in me. I did not get pregnant, but was terrified as I didn't love the guy. Good luck to u both....
