I had an emergency c-section because I wouldn't dialate past a 6 and pre-eclampsia plus high blood pressure put alot of stress on my little girl. I was put under because I could still feel pain on one side. I was very sore the next day, but they give meds to help manage that. But even after all those complications I was home with my little one after 3 days. Each woman is different though, I wish you the best of luck.

Well yeah ever body is different. My mom kept telling me she is surprised I'm up walking around. But hey once I became a mom I had to. No more rest days for me. But my daughter was in the nicu due to having the cord wrapped around her neck twice and at last minute she also flipped breech and her heart rate dropped and wouldn't come back up as I was pushing.

I had a c-section a month ago. But mine was an emergency c-section so I was put under because I was not numbing on my left side. But I had a good experience with it I was in pain of course right after. But the next day I was up and walking around the hospital. Taking care of my daughter due to she was in the nicu for 12 days.

I had a emergency csection and they do everything so fast I think they take longer on getting everything ready than what they do taking the baby out, I can say the after pain is what is painful because I personal though my cut was going to open, good luck and god bless(:

I had a csection 3 weeks ago! It's what she said above. You don't feel any pain at all during. But once the numbing medicine wore off I was in a lot of pain. You get meds every so hours in the hospital but I was still in a lot of pain hurt to get up and walk after the second day. But the whole day you won't walk, and you have a catheter in too

I personally havent had one with the 3 pregnancies ive been through but my best friend has had 2 so I get the bulk of her c section stories everytime :). You will be awake. They will insert a catheter into your back that administers numbing medication so you will be completely numb from your rib cage down. My friend told me she felt no pain at all. The only thing she felt was a tugging sensation when they removed the baby from her stomach. I believe they also test before beginning to make sure you are completely numb so dont worry. Good luck with everything! Im due october 20th :)
