Should I be concerned?

I went to the doctor for my first ultrasound yesterday, I was suppose to have been 11 weeks along but the ultrasound measured the baby at 7 weeks. The doctor could not find a heartbeat but he said that it might just be cause. I was not far along enough yet to be able to find one. I was wondering if anybody else has had the same experience before?

I hope everything goes fine for u... Mostly they should be able to find a hb at 7wks... Bt u never know... It can go either way... Doctors never diagnose miscarriage until they do another scan... If ur next scan shows no hb thn unfortunaty u ll hve to mke a choice....


I had three early scans with my first pregnancy last yr.. Baby had no hb at 6wks 5 days n next scan showed baby stopped growing... I went for natural mc n it wasnt as painfull as i thought... If something like that happen its completely up2 u.. Natural mc tend to take longer than usual... In uk docs dont perform dnc unless medications dont work...

Take care n stay relaxed... Evn if u r going to hve mc theres nothinv nyone cn do... So just be prepared for worst...

I was on the pill when i got pregnant. I missed a few pills an then the last time i had my period it only lasted a day or two. My problem is i couldn't remember what day that happened so i didn't rlly have a last cycle to go by. My doctor said that since i was on the pill then my last cycle date wouldn't matter that much, that the ultrasound would tell us more information. There is a baby there we could see it but it is rlly tiny. They drew my blood that day, an i went back this morning(Friday) to have it drawn again. I'm scheduled for another ultrasound on Monday, which i think is a little early cause i won't be much farther along then i am now. He's also going to compare my blood results then. I'm just hoping i was off on my dates, This is me an my fiance's first baby. Thanks for the prayers everyone

You could have ovulated later than you thought or baby could have stopped growing....doesn't necessary mean you will miscarry but it. Doesn't rule it out either.....keeping you in my prays.

No if u were suppose to b 11 weeks n the baby was 7 then the baby has stopped growing n that's why there was no heart beat bc at 6 weeks u see a heart this happen to me twice, u will miscarry if I were u I wuld get a Dnc , natural is very painful!!!!!

Unfortunately the same thing happened to me and I went back a week later and still no heartbeat.  I had a miscarriage a few weeks later =(
