I really appreciate you helping me out!
Thank you so much :)
I ended up going to my mom.
Thank you for your answer!
i would check out a teen health centre if there is one in your community, they might be able to help you with it...
I dont think you need to be 18 but I cant confirm this.. I work in a homeless shelter though and I have seen many girls 16-17 years old take the pill so I think you can get it.
Over the counter in canada! :)
Could a male friend buy it?
It can be purchased at Shoppers, Walmart, IDA etc?
Here in Canada I believe you have to be 18. I've never purchased it myself but, I was at the pharmacy once and saw a young girl purchasing it and she had to show ID. If you have any older friends you can get them to go to a local pharmacy and have them get one for you. But, like Clysta said you have to take it ASAP. After 72 hours its practically useless but, the sooner the better.
That's good-- definitely talk to an adult though. It might be hard, but I'm sure it will be ever harder to tell them you're pregnant as well. If you DO take Plan B it needs to be taken ASAP as the longer you wait the less effective it gets.
Well thank you for your help!
I do know this boy I've been with him for almost a year now and he has been my best friend since kindergarden. He as well was a virgin.
I really hope this turns out to be a learning experience and nothing more.
While irregular cycles makes it harder, it's far from impossible. When I was 20 I was stupid and thought that my cycles would make it impossible---I would bleed for 2 weeks, stop for 2 weeks and bleed for another 2 weeks. Other times I would skip for months on end and then bleed for a month or two straight. My daughter is 13 months old now.
I'm not too clear what the things in Canada are-- perhaps someone who lives there will answer. As for "not finishing" no--your chances are still exactly the same. Pre-ejaculation is always present when a male is aroused, and still contains sperm, just not as much as if he completely ejaculated. Many women foolishly believe that pulling out or whatever protects them, and it far from does so. There are over half a dozen ladies on here pregnant or have children from men who pulled out or didn't finish. NOTHING is 100%, but birth control and condoms greatly reduces those chances.
If you want to act an adult, you need to be more responsible. Sex isn't just for fun or pleasure, it has serious consequences that can haunt you for the rest of your life. Do you really know this boy? Not only do you risk pregnancy, now you also put yourself at risk of STD, and unless he's seen a doctor you do NOT know if he has anything. You only have one body, you need to take care of it.
As well with the whole lost period thing?
can you give me an insight as to how that would affect getting pregnant
I live in Canada so is it possible to get the pill without seeing a doctor?
We didn't exactly totally 'finish the job' so is there any chance I don't need to worry?
If you live in the states you have to see a doctor to get the Plan B pill, as you're underage. I would talk to an adult you trust and go NOW. As for what else you should do, there is nothing else you can do. You have to wait 2 weeks to take a pregnancy test with first morning urine. If you end up not pregnant, take this as a learning lesson and remember to ALWAYS use protection from the start to finish in the future. It doesn't matter how in the moment you might be or how nice it might feel, you can destroy your future with just those few minutes of brief pleasure.
