Skin rashes in early pregnancy

I am on 8-9 DPO and for the last 3 days I have been experiencing some skin rashes that looks like mosquito bites and are itchy red bumps. The funny thing about it is that it comes and goes and appears mainly at night. The rashes are mainly on my face with some on my legs, belly, chest, arms and neck. I have never had this once in my life. Has anyone experienced anything similar so early in pregnancy?(If I am at all pregnant)

Thanks for your response. I surely would consult a doctor, but I am waiting for AF to show up this weekend as it will be easier to diagnose after knowing that it has nothing to do with pregnancy. And also I have been told by the doctor to take early HPT to determine pregnancy as early as possible. I have had a chemical pregnancy which doctor suspects was due to low progesterone as my BBT is always in the lower range than normal with a cycle of 25-26 days. So the sooner I know I am pregnant the easier it will be to keep the baby. I read many women's stories of rashes very early in pregnancy. Since this thing never happened to me before I started making assumptions. Knowing that you too experienced rashes in your pregnancy makes me hopeful. Thanks buddy. Will let you know what happens.

I think it's important to pay attention to symptoms b/c guess what, women knew they were pregnant way before pregnancy tests or OB/GYNs even existed.  I had very tell-tale symptoms with my first pregnancy and both of my pregnancies caused the same "rash" you are talking about.  There is a name for it but I can't remember what it is at the moment.  I've just read it's called the "mask of pregnancy" so if that helps...Often times we don't listen to our bodies and yes, sometimes we work ourselves up into thinking something that may not be, but at least you are in tune with your body and some noticeable changes.  So, if it's not b/c of pregnancy, you may still want to have a doctor or dermatologist look at it.  Please let us know if you are pregnant! Good luck!

We had our first son as a surprise. We always used protection as we were amidst many things like changing location, settling down in a new country, financial matters and so on. Never thought trying for a baby can be so stressful and difficult. I just want two babies as I have been an only child and have grew up with cousins who all had siblings. So I know how difficult it is to be all alone. I want to give my son a brother or a sister and I am done with TTC...LOL....gosh its nerve-wrecking

Well vomiting might be a sign of pregnancy after implantation, but if it's the day after ovulation it's not. It's just because the symptoms from pregnancy are due to hormonal changes and these don't occur till implantation occurs and starts to release them. I do hope it happens for you soon. :) I've never been through the TTC process (we did the 'don't prevent don't try' method) but I can only imagine how stressful it might be.

Thanks for your response. I know it is silly to think that way. But the last time I got pregnant which resulted in a chemical pregnancy I had this sore throat and high temperature just for a day right after the day I ovulated. So I thought to vomit can be a sign too. I know there is no point looking at everything as a sign only to be disappointed later. Actually we are thinking of giving a break to TTC for a couple of months as I have a dance recital in April for which I must lose some weight. I am getting old....haha....so the sooner baby#2 comes the better it is.

Try not to look or read too much into symptoms. They mean next to nothing and serve no purpose. Women that do get their hopes up too high and think they're pregnant or think everything they feel is related to pregnancy and then get crushed when they're not. Vomiting a day after ovulation isn't due to pregnancy (I would venture a guess that it's hormone changes because you just ovulated or an illness/food didn't agree) I've never heard of this due to pregnancy though. I do hope you get your positive, I just wouldn't read into every symptom. Good luck.

Thank you both for your response. Me and DH have been trying for our second baby for 1 and a half yrs now. We had a chemical pregnancy last June. Every month I look for signs. This month I vomited the day after ovulation and then got these allergies to make me hopeful about this month. With your comments I am now cautiously hopeful. Thanks once again.

Hey,

I also had this last month it looked like sunburn and i had what looked like bites on my legs unfortunatly i thought this was a sign of early pregnancy but unfortunatly BFN i asked my GP and he said its to do with hormone changes (due to AF) There is a such thing as a red mask in pregnancy as i researched this but it happens later on and its more like a browner colour.
Hope this helps and u get your BFP soon!!
