Slow rising HCG levels...terrified!

Hey guys....I've been reading a lot of things about HCG levels and their importance in doubling. Mine are rising slowly, but not doubling. My doctor says there is NO hope at all! I understand that there is a grave possibilty that I'll miscarry, but is there ANYONE who has had slow rising levels or heard of anyone and it actually resulted in a healthy full-term baby? I just feel like I can't loose all hope yet....it's not over til it's over.

Thanks so much for everyone's kind words. I really hope things work out. I have my ultrasound today and they will be checking my HCG levels again. I'm hoping I had a big rise over the weekend. I'm not spotting or bleeding....and never had. I still have strong pregnancy symptoms too. I just can't give up hope...not yet. It's not over til it's over! I'll keep everyone posted!

it can take up to 3 ays to double and many site will tell you that as long as it rises %80 within 3 days that it is still normal.  hang in there.  i have heard of many stories that some women's do not double and they have very healthy pregnancies.

I had slow rising levels as well...and I have a beautiful 19 month old little girl to show for it!  Everyone's body is different....and not everyone's levels double!  Mine eventually did...but it wasn't until after I hit 9 or 10 weeks.  I would switch doctors....honestly...I can't believe she is being so cavalier with you.

i'm sorry. I guess it is good to be prepared, but i hate that doctors always act like they're omnipotent (all knowing) and are God. It frustrates me. especially since they know you're waiting ALL freaking weekend to find out. It just seems cruel to me!

I'm around 6 weeks....but my cycle isn't 28 days...it's more like 33days, so I may not be that far along. I have my first ultrasound tomorrow. My level was 511 and 2 days later it was 770. My doctor told me there is no hope and she is only doing the u/s to rule out an ectopic.....I'm terrified!

How far along are you?  At some point your hCG levels should double, then they slow down.  Do you have any other symptoms?

Mine took 4.5 days to double and I'm FINE! 18 weeks today!
