I have a bottle sterilizer for the microwave. It can hold 3 Doctor Brown Bottles and all the parts. It ranges in time from 7-10 minutes. I always do 10 minutes to make sure they are fully clean. I rinse them immediately after using them in super hot water and clean them with the scruby brush that holds Dawn and then I put them in the sterilizer. Once I have two or three dirty bottles I put them in the microwave and they come out super clean.

Caution these things get super hot! I actually had to go to the ER because I burned myself so bad using it. But that just reassured me that it is getting the job done!!!

I know you will find what works best for you! By the way the Babies R Us sterilizer is around $10 or less and so worth it!

I agree with losingmymind. after each feeding i always take them apart and rinse them off with hot water. until I wash them, then I put them in the dishwasher, then rinse them with hot water again while im putting them back together, and one thing I always do is wash my hands and use hand santiizer before touching the clean bottles to put them back together.

It's always BEST to sterilize though a lot of people NOW say it's not necessary.  Clorox isn't something I would use.  I know some people put like a tablespoon of it in the dishwater to help sterilize, but I wouldn't use that for a new baby.  If you have a dishwasher, washing them in there will not only clean but sterilize as well.  There are sterilizers you can buy but I think they are a waste of money.  Boiling for 5 minutes is just as effective.

One thing that will help is to make sure that you disassemble the bottle parts right after the feeding and rinse them thoroughly in hot water to make sure you get all of the residue off, that way it won't sit there and sour until you wash them and you won't have to worry about scrubbing crusty milk out of tight little spots.

Clorox is a huge no-no! I actually gasped. That is bleach and you don't want your child ingesting that even if you rinse really well. Just good old soap and water will do the trick; PROMISE!

my doctor told me that my baby's bottles/nipples/pacifiers do not need to be sterilized (like boiling water or with a sterilizer) and that just soap and hot water will do. with that said you DO have to sterilize them before the FIRST use after you buy them (and i would if someone lends them to you too)

i would just get a universal bottle brush and wash them with antibacterial soap and hot water. i have a sterilizer and sometimes i use it, sometimes i don't. i realize that it's not necessary so i only really use it when i feel like being extra clean/i have the time. otherwise i rinse all of my daughter's bottles out and i plug up the sink, fill it with hot water and antibacterial soap and dump all the bottles & parts in. then i rinse them really well and put them on a drying rack.

idk about the whole bleach thing...some do it and it might be okay.. i personally wouldn't..i just feel like thats too harsh of a chemical on a baby's bottle. you also have to rinse REALLY REALLY well and that can be tough to do. plus bleach always leaves things feeling kinda slippery..and its sometimes hard to tell if you rinsed well enough. i'd avoid the bleach, but thats just my opinion. antibacterial soap works just as well as long as it's in contact with the surface for 30 seconds & coupled with hot water. :)

Boil them then wash with hot water and soap.. or like wat i do is just put them in the dishwasher, the dishwasher uses steaming hot water. and mine has a sanitizer button.
