So irritated wth doctors under estimating symptoms

Doctors are so quick to lable things as normal pregnancy symptoms that they're not actually listening. I've been complaining about the same thing on and off for weeks. Weakness, light handedness, muscle aches, and a little confusion and my doctor and the other doctors I've seen just lable it as normal pregnant stuff. So last night i had to go to the ER for the same stuff plus a little cramping and lord behold it's heat exhaustion. They were glad that i came in when i did because my temperature was just minutes away from it being heat stroke. Since I've been pregnant I've had problems with dehydration but all my doctor tells me to do is go to the ER she's not trying to help me at all. I drink lots of water. I try to drink power aid sometimes but juices only make me feel even more thirsty. I'm so irritated. Evidently heat exhaustion can lead to premature labor and other problems with pregnancy. I'm so over everything and everybody. It's like the doctors don't even listen they're just so quick to lable it as normal pregnancy stuff and send you on your way when it can actually be something serious. I'm just so glad that my mom told me to go to the ER because things could've gotten way worse.

I totally understand. My doctor didn't ever do anything she just bragged about how she went to Harvard and never gave me any time to ask my questions and she didn't believe me when I told her I had a pap smear at the emergency room even though there's no reason to lie and I had the paper work saying it happened. So whatever. I switched docs. I think you should take that into consideration to.

See that's exactly what I'm talking about smh. They act like they don't care. Like you're being overly dramatic. Like you don't supposed to be concerned about you and your baby. Like you don't know when something isn't right with YOUR body. Every pregnancy is not the same and should all be treated differently and with concern and care. It's so difficult to find a doctor that listens, understands, and care. They act like they know everything. I honestly feel like that when I'm talking instead of actually  listening my doctor is thinking of what to say next. I really want to switch doctors but i feel that i might get the same results from a different doctor so what's the point. They tell you not to stress because it isn't good for the baby but they're the cause of the stress most of the time smh

I sware my drs are only drs for the paycheck not for the care of their patients i hate my drs! And drs as in i have 4 midwives i have to see because which ever one is on call the night i have my baby is the one that delivers its so frustrating... 1 says all day bed rest and i need multiple ultrasounds then the next week i see another who says shell schedule my ultrasoun in a month like stupid biatch! Omg then the other 2 just always ask um so whats going on? And theb im on weeklys according to two of them but then 1 says every other week. Like omg not to mention with my 1st pregnancy these woman said 1 time oh your high risk and i got transfered to an amazing dr... This time im high risk and they all playing games with me and my sons health i keep trying to see my old high risk dr but her office wont accept me until the midwives refer me because i have medicaid !!!! Me and my family are all so angry with this

Exactly why I tell women on here that not all doctors are in your best interest! It's so sad but it's true it's their job yes but doesn't mean they actually care! Glad you're doing better now!

My first ob did the same. I had a strong feeling that I was expecting twins bit she insisted that it would have shown on my first 2 ultrasound. So I actually got tired of hearing g the same things over and over with no precaution being done that I transferred to a different obgyn and sure enough I'm expecting twin girls
