I am 14 weeks and i still sleep on my stomache when my boobs allow me as they are so sore i sometimes cant lay on my front but when i have a good day i still lay on my front. I beleive that you can until it feels to uncomftable for you anymore. When bump gets bigger you can by a pillow to put under your bump to make sleeping more comftable for you.
I slept on my tummy till i was about 20 some odd weeks. And it took me a long time to get used to it. You're still early and its okay. Once you get you're belly you wont be able to sleep on your tummy. Trust me, and for me it ***** im a tummy girl. But you'll get used to it.
Yeah I do the side/stomach sleep a lot too, not really laying flat on your belly, the belly's more to the side, thank you guys! :]
Like others have said, the heartrate will fluctuate and every baby's heartrate is different, so don't worry.
As for sleeping, I am a stomach sleeper. I am also 20w3d pregnant. I still sleep on my stomach, but now it's more of a side/stomach sleep...if that makes sense. You will get to a point where it will be uncomfortable to sleep on your stomach. But, you are fine to sleep on your stomach. You aren't causing any harm and baby is well cushioned. As for your back...they say not to once you get around 16 weeks, but I still find myself on my back. When it becomes bothersome you will roll. So don't worry. Your body has a way of working things out.
I was able to sleep on my stomach until I was about 16 weeks or so, you should try to stop sleeping on your back though. It's alright now, but when you get a little farther along you should try not to. You have an artery running along your back and the weight of your utures can decrease you blood flow which isn't good for you or the baby. It isn't so much bad either if you feel fine, but it doesn't help either...If that makes sense. Sleeping on your left side is th best, but either side works. But if you fall asleep and wake up on your back or stomach and feel fine, you shouldn't worry about it. When it starts to affect you, you'll wake up and roll over. Good Luck, congrats on the baby, BTW my daughters heart rate is usally in the 140's and she's completely normal.
I"m 14 weeks and i still find myself rolling over onto my stomach. My dr. told me if it's comfortable go ahead and sleep that way. It doesn't affect any oxygen levels. You will eventually hit a point where it's imposible to sleep on your stomach.
Good luck!
Heres the story.... when its no longer comfy for u to sleep on ur stomach then u shouldnt. Your baby is completely cushioned in there.
I think you should be concerned once you get a belly. Right now you should try to get used to sleeping on the side, but at this point you will not have any problems.
Heartbeat should be between 140-170bpm so you're all good :)
Congrats!
