Ok, this was really weird.... I just went to the bathroom. It was like I was Peeing, but I wasn't trying to or anything. It wasn't the color of urine and kinda had a different kind of smell. I'm 29 weeks. Any ideas on what that was...?
What sort of smell?? Don't want to scare but my front waters breaking was a similar experience. I didnt have any other warning of my daughter being on her way. The smell for me was kind of salty water smelling if memory serves. I'd phone your Dr and run it by them to rule it out. Best wishes x
chels, the others are right. It's not that helpful right now for you to keep trying to describe the smell - it's best if you call your doctor's office and describe the incident and get checked for a ruptured sac.
Yes, forget the smell description and call your doctor immediately. There is a simple test they can do to determine if it's an amniotic leak.
I had the norovirus a few weeks ago, and every time I had an episode of violent vomiting, I'd leak a clear fluid. I could not tell if it was my own urine or I'd ruptured my amniotic sac--I was 27 weeks. The nurses at L&D swab your cervix with a special paper and a few minutes later, they know if it is amniotic fluid or something benign.
You can never be too careful. Call the doctor now, and get checked.
