TSH levels and pregnancy

Im recently 9 weeks pregnant.I had some bloodwork done last week for hair loss and she did a TSH and free T4. My TSH was 6.09 and my T4 was .97. She said seems how my T4 was normal there was no need for concern at this time and we would just retest in a few weeks. That my high TSH was just because my pituatary gland was just working extra hard to produce hormone because of the baby. Is this something I should be concerned about and see an endocrinologist about?

Thanks! That's what everyone keeps telling me, but my dr doesn't seem concerned about it at all?

6.09 is really high, especially since the new range is 0.3-3.0. did she check your T3 too? post this on the thyroid forum, there are a lot of very knowledgeable people there and i am sure they will be able to help you more.
