Books are worth it. I'd also get subscriptions to Parents, Baby Talk and/or Parenting magazines. That way you also get some learning in on parenting, not just pregnancy-related material.
I love my Pregnancy Week-By-Week book. I have about 30 pregnancy books. Some I got for free from State Farm (go on their website or google Free State Farm Pregnancy Book).
hey,
the books are worth it i think. i really enjoy pulling them out once a week and reading about all the new exciting things that are happening to baby. the big thing is just not getting too involved in the extra info they add. i have one book that throws in different diseases and things that can happen each week. its just their way to add information and it doesn't mean it will happen to you, they are just making the info available to you. (sometimes i just skip over them because i know they wont relate to me. and when they do i can just look it up in the index and read up on it then)
i would suggest starting a prenatal vitamin too. gets you in the habit and there is nothing wrong with extra vitamins.
good luck and have a good time!
