TTC with irregular cycles

Hi everyone, I posted not too long ago about my hubby and I TTC and getting negative results on OPK every day. Well, I just starting having more irregular cycles, some as short as 15 days. I thought I was ovulating and of course BD and stayed upside down for as long as possible, only to start bleeding that night. I had fertile mucous, shooting pains in the ovary area (nothing at all like my usual menstrual pain) and was completely convinced I was ovulating, despite the negative OPK. I have heard of people conceiving without ever getting a positive. My husband and I want to add our first baby to our family so badly. This would be such a blessing to us, and I just don't understand what's going on. Any tips, guidance, or words of wisdom??

I would rather go see a doctor to help you regulate your cycles because you will not be able to fall pregnant until you cycles are regular and you know when ovulation are taking place.

Good luck!

Well, I got off my pill a while back and since then my periods have been pretty regular except for the last 2. On the pill, my periods were always 28 days, never fail. But even when I got off the pill, it was between 28-32 days. I never got ovulation pain or a positive OPK during any of those. The last 2 cycles have confused me though, because this past one was only 15 days and the one before was 18 days. This last one happened after I thought I ovulated, but I agree with you when you say having only 15 days in a cycle I am probably not ovulating. I think I will try it one more month and if I don't ovulate then I am going to get an appointment. I have my regular GYN appointment in October, but I would like to be seen before then if possible.

How irregular are your cycles? I would talk to your dr, he/she may put you on birth control for a few months to see if it will regulate youre cycles, or try other ways. If you're having a period with 15 days between you may not be ovulating at all, have you ever talked to your dr about it?
