That's good! Probably just some intense braxton hicks contractions. My doctor told me, that sometimes you'll have round ligament pain and contrcations hitting at the same time, and it feels like labor contractions, but really it's a false alarm.
However, if you do feel them again definately go back in and get checked. If your cervix starts thinning that is when you'll have to worry about going into labor soon! It's probably your body is starting to get ready though. So in a few weeks you may start dialting. Maybe not though. :)
Do you know if it was called a fetal fibronactin (sp?) test?
She didnt say anything about thinning and i just heard from the docs office and the test was negative. And the contractions are starting to get further apart and not as bad in pain.
It's probably the preterm labor test, to show if she is going into labor in the next two weeks. I have to get those starting at 20 weeks. I'm a preterm labor history lady here, and I hope that test comes out negative!!!
But since your not dilating..You should be fine. Did she say if your cervix was thinning? Cause that is something to worry about then. Did they give you anything to stop the contractions? Like the tribuladin(sp?) shot?
She didnt say the name of it im waiting on the nurse to call me back with the results now.
What kind of test are they doing, just curious. Good luck and try to take it easy.
I went to the docs she said that the contractions are right but im not dilating then she said that she is sending a test over to the hospital and if it is positive that i will have the baby in the next 2 wks. She sent me home for now and said if the contractions get closer together, last longer and hurt more that i need to come back. They are 9 mins apart lasting about a min.. And that has been since i got home about 30 mins ago. So we will see.
I would go to your labor anddelivery unit and call your Ob you may be in preterm labor. The sooner you get there the easier it may be to stop it! Keep us updated when you get back!
I agree with NicMom.....sounds like you could be going in to preterm labor! I would give the OB a call and head over there or to labor and delivery and have them moniter you.... Better to be safe than sorry! Good Luck!
you need to call your ob right away and start heading to their office!
