Thought i was further along in this pregnancy

yesterday i had an ultrasound and the tech said i was measuring at 5 weeks 6 days.  we saw and heard a heartbeat.  now, i KNOW for sure my last period started on Nov 6 which would make you think i am actually 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant.  how can tis be?  i am sooo confused because i keep exact records of my cycle.  any info would be great!

You probably ovulated later then normal. I got PG 5 days before my next period was due.

The difference between 5w6d and 6w1d is only two days.  Even with accurate records of your periods, that does not translate into an exact record of your ovulation, which could have come two days later than you expected.

It is normal for an u/s to be a few days off in either direction.  Technology/ technicians are not perfect, and babies can develop at slightly different rates.  I don't think you have anything to worry about.  Was your doctor concerned?
