Tilted uterus? Anyone have one

Question

I got question after question! I was told in 07' that I had a tilted uterus mines backwards I believe ive been reading if you do have it, its hard to see the baby sooner some ppl it took 11 weeks...has any had anything before that? Im nervous cause I got a ultrasound thursday I been so exxcited bout seeing or hearing the heartbeat and I think I might not get one ughhh it makes things stressful I wanna know this babys gonna come thur and all I want is a heartbeat

I too have one. My Dr insisted it didn't cause me to have fertility problems. They did have a harder time finding heartbeat on doppler though because of this but as far as u/s I had one at 5, 6, and 7 weeks (because of IUI and previous mc's) and was able to see everything just fine.

I have a tilted uterus and could only see the baby by transvaginal ultrasound up until 12 weeks. If they can't get the baby on the regular one they'll just do the transvag one and either way you'll see the baby. Good luck!

i have a bicornuate urteus...a uterus in the shape as 2 horns and i was afraid that it might effect the babies grow but my doctor said they should have picked it up on my1st child and she was born 7.6 i am pregnant again and 10 weeks and they are a little worried czz baby has planted itself on my right side but its all ok as long as i take it easy.

Very common.  Never heard that is plays a role in fertility though.  Being able to see the baby is largely dependent on where the baby attaches.  At 7 1/2 weeks you should be able to hear the heartbeat.  Don't be concerned if you can't, you could be off on your dates.  Good luck!

I have a tilted uterus too (to the back as well) it is quite common in women, was actually only told last year when i was having a coil fitted after having had 3 children!  
my first 3 pregnancies i lost, and my 4th pregnancy, babys hb was seen at 6 weeks and my subsequent pregnancies the hb's were seen at the 9 week mark when i was first scanned. I've been told the same as the above post it can make conception harder, so am trying everything possible this time to ttc baby number 4.

i have a tilted uterus that is backward and the only complications i have is that it is harder to conceive (doctor says) and i get more back pains when i am preg (again doctor says)

i have always seen my babies on ultrasound without a problem

I have a retroverted uterus (tilted backwards) as well. I had no trouble seeing dd on my ultrasound and I had one at 4 weeks due to bleeding. The fetal pole wasn't pesent at that time simply bc it was too early, but at 6 weeks it was present. I also didn't show until further along in my pregnancy. But, when I went into labor I had horrible back labor! I never felt the first contraction in my belly, only my back and it was murder!

My uterus is tilted toward the back as well, and I've never had a problem seeing my babies on ultrasound. I usually have one around 8 weeks to confirm pregnancy and to date it. It does make it harder to hear the heartbeat sometimes, but I've never had an issue with that either. As your uterus grows and lifts up, it can straighten itself out. That's what my midwife told me. Your belly may be on the smaller side for a little while and then pop out one week. :)
