Some pregnancy tests will test I think up to a week before your first missed period....so three weeks should be more than enough time to get a positive result

I was just over 3 weeks when I found out this time. It was 4 days before my missed period. The line just may be a little lighter :)

i did find a place that says 7 days in perfect conditions.... this one put the egg traveling could be as fast as 4 days to implant... other places i found say 6 days so im not sure... i guess if anyone is out there that says 7 days past ovulation then it must be possible :)

I waited until about 3 days beore my missed period, I was 3w4d…got a positive…but I agree with Lesley27, if you test too early and get an early result it could be a result from a chemical pregnancy as I had one in December! Just try to wait as close to your period as possible or even after your period was due if it doesn't show :)

It all depends when implantation occurs as this is what causes the hCG to start to produce, so the earlier its occurs the earlier you should get a positive test.... i think in perfect conditions the earliest for a positive is 8 days past ovulation... if not 9 days but i cant quite remember?... i did get a positive at 9 days past ovulation but like i said it all depends on when implantation occurs... this is why some woman dont get positive results right away as they most likely implanted closer to their periods....

Testing early does run the risk for getting a postive test result from a chemical pregnancy and some woman wont test till their period is due to avoid disappointment from this....as chemical pregnancy will show a postiive result then the woman gets their period and turns out to not be pregnant... can be very hard on a woman who has been trying for a while :(
