Too early for Braxton Hicks?

I'm 18 weeks pregnant with my third and am already having braxton hicks contractions, maybe once or twice a day.  Not painful at all, just a tightening of my uterus for a few seconds then it releases.  I know this is definitely what they are because I had them in my last pregnancy but much later on.  Does anyone know if it is normal to have them so early?

I'm on my 5th pregnancy, and I was having braxton hicks contractions by 12 weeks. I'm now 20 weeks and a few days, and I only get them every so often, maybe 2-3 times a day, but rarely noticeable and usually when my bladder is full.

In a little booklet my ob office gave me it goes by trimester and tells you about development etc but also common symptoms, and braxton hicks are there,  says they are common to get this early as long as there arent more then 5 in an hr then your fine. you can also call your OB and see what they say.
