my nephew will be a year next month and he's just into 6-9months which are still a little big but he's his old clothes were too short, and they're not worried. They did have to start feeding him food at 5 month
my daughter is 15 months old and just hit 20 pounds and still wears 9 month old clothing and her dr just says she is petite as long as she is on track develeopmentally your fine my daughter did everthing fast she started crawling a week before she tunred 5 months old and started walking at 8 months. my son on the other hand was so chunky and big and he didn't start crawling till 10 months and walking at a 1 1/2
If it is her length, I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Some babies are just a little shorter. My youngest daughter is only one year old and wears 2T clothing because she is so long. Every little baby is different! If your doctor was concerned they'd mention something at her appointment. The point is to see consistent growth on her growth charts.
How much did she weigh when she was born?
I think they're supposed to double their weight by 5 or 6 months...which is sounds like she's doing. She sounds OK to me! 15lbs sounds pretty healthy for a 4 1/2 month old. My son weighs 10lbs more than her and he's 22 months old...wearing *loose* size 18 month with 7.5 size shoe (go figure?! his feet are huge...)
I wouldn't worry. If you doctor is concerned, they will let you know. All of my girls are very small for their age. My 3 year old still wears 2T that are too big in some cases. My 6 year old can still wear a size 4 in jeans. The 5's and 6's are huge on her. All my girls are this way. They are all just tiny!!!!
She weights about 15 lbs and she is breastfeed with a just a little formula now and then. The problem isn't really her weight since she is so chunky but rather how tall she is.
well youve seen dominic. hes well a chunker. hes getting too big for some of his 0-3 month clothes and he just turned 2 months on the 27th. hes 24 inches and 13 pounds. hes breastfed however has formula sometimes. his doctor said if he wasnt gainging weight i could start him on some cereal at 4 months but since hes gaining weight he said to wait to feed him some at 6 months.
but since shes not gainging a lot of weight then yeah i would say some cereal.
was she a preemie? if you're not breastfeeding, she may not be getting enough nutrients from her formula....have you tried to give her infants cereal yet? the kind you mix with forumla?
i'd bring it up with your doctor def....
