Took an EPT test this afternoon and was wondering if my eyes are deceiving me?

Good afternoon and happy Friday to everyone! Well a friend of mine was at the store when I called her and told her what was going on and she brought me an EPT test. I hadn't peed in 4 hrs so I thought what the heck. So at 2:25pm I took it and it came back very faintly +. In all the times I have taken this test when I wasn't pregnant I have never had a + on one. So I posted a picture on my profile to see what you ladies think. I would appreciate any thoughts and comments. Thanks. My oldest who is 8 says he can see it and he doesn't know it's mine. I just showed him the picture I posted on **************.com, so I am interested in what you ladies see or don't see.

I actually see a little something too! I had the exact same thing happen to me! I took a blue dye test and had a crazy faint line like you and I looked it up and the Clearblue was notorious for having false positives that has a line off center and that's how mine was so I was a little heartbroken. I had a 3 pack and took all 3 and all of them had the same thing. So I was thinking what the heck....there's no way 1 pack could have 3 friggin defective tests. So then I got a FRER and had a really really faint line too. I kept taking tests until the damn things got brighter!! Can't tell ya how many I took until I believed it! LOL
SOunds like you've taken quite a few that have had some type of line so I'm gonna say CONGRATS!!! :) Save yourself some cash and believe it!! hehe

No signs that AF is going to show, instead I woke up really nauseaus and it has been that way off and on all day. I am very fatigued and hungry all the time. So I will let you ladies know what I find out in the morning. Plan is to take a First Response in the morning. So now I will just have to wait and see.

I took the other EPT test again this afternoon around 1:40pm. It was still faint but more defined this time. It was really interesting watching it. Because the part of the blue horizontal line was darker were the vertical line crosses. Then of coarse the rest showed up in 3 mins. I am going to take a First response tomorrow morning by then I will be 13 DPO. THanks ladies

I definitely see the faint line, I took 3 EPT's and they all had very faint positives on them, and I'm 15 weeks pregnant!

I don't see anything. Use pink-dye tests. Blue are notorious for evaporation lines that appear faint.

your eyes may be deceiving you :(.... take a test first thing in the morning

I have always used the blue tear with all my pregnancies.. I'm currently 29wks 2days. I used the "blue" test to it was + I believe I used it 3 days sooner then my period. And then I confirmed it with a digital test. And it said positive as well. But on my blue test it was a faint line as well.. I'm on my iPhone so I don't c a way to post pics ( I took a pic of it to send to my hubby that works outta town) so if us like I could e-mail it to u and u can compare it to your test..

I don't see the line but it might be the picture quality.  I would definitely say to take a digital test though. They are the best. i kept getting bfns with normal tests, then did a digital test and got a bfp!  Good luck!

I don't usually trust them either, but I have never had one of these come up + when I wasn't pregnant. So I guess for now it is the waiting game. The funny thing is that my DH and I weren't trying in fact we were doing the opposite. We avoided making love all the way from the 2nd of Jan. till the 12th. I ovulated on the 10th and thought that over 48 hrs after would be safe, but it seems that as soon as I try to take control, God points out to me that He is in control. I have 4 beautiful children and would gladly welcome another, even though it would not be expected. Thanks ladies I will let you know on Mon what I find out.

I don't trust blue dye tests. I have gotten false positives on them before. I would wait and take another pink dye test like a frer and read it within the first 10 minutes.

If you got two faint positives your most likely pregnant. I took FRER and got a positive 3 days before AF was due and am 6 weeks tomorrow :)

I did yesterday afternoon with a FRER and it was very faintly +. So I guess now I will just wait and see if AF shows up on Mon. I have never had one of the EPT test come back with even a faint + before. So thanks.

It's hard for me to see but I would suggest getting a pink dye test and testing with first morning urine. Good luck!!!
