Tooth Extraction at 12 Weeks 1 Day Pregnant

Hiya all im back again...Here goes i was 12 weeks and 1 day pregnant yesterday when i had to have and emergancy tooth extraction :( The Dentist decided this would be better for me as i had an infection in my tooth leading to my gum and the amount of treatment needed and medication wouldnt be any good for the baby, so this was the only way!! Athough the Dentist will know that this is safe and ive had confirmation from my Midwife they know what they are doing, im still worried incase i this has hurt the baby in anyway! I have had 3 early miscarriages (inc Chemical) and this is the 1st time i have got to were i am today..So as you can understand i am worried at every little thing!! Has anyone else under gone a tooth extraction during pregnancy and everything has been ok?! Please no scary replies...I dont want to be worrying until i have my 20 week Scan! Thanx :)

Dont worry, your fine! i had lots of dental work done while i was prego(a couple fillings, and a tooth extraction) they started a root canal but put in a temporary filling to last till after i had my daughter cause the dentist didnt want to take a lot of x rays... my Dr said the dentist was being paranoid and i would have been fine! because its all done with a local anesthetic and its for such a short time there really isnt much harm from it... so no worries :)

My sister is 23 weeks and she just had a root canal and she's fine. Take the pain medication they give you too. Don't try and tough it out it won't hurt your baby. Just don't take ibprofin that can cause bleeding.

Are they just going to numb your gum and do it, or do they plan to use anesthesia?
