Toothache...Dentist...OB dr???

I have a toothache...I called my dentist and told them what was going on and they wanted me to come in. I told them I'm almost 21wks pregnant and they say "sorry we can't see you, we can't help you". Okay, I think I need an antibiotic or something like that, should I call my OB dr or try another dentist? I hate to bother my OB with this, but I'm not sure what else to do. I don't want to let the infection go and possibly hurt the baby (don't even know if that's possible!). Any help is appreciated...

I went to a dentist when I was 8 months pregnant to have a wisdom tooth pulled.  I didn't even need anything from my doctor.  I would check with another dentist or just see if your OB can help you with meds.

Your dentist seems weird. I just saw my dentist and I am pregnant and I had a toothache. Actually my wisdom tooth is coming threw weird and may be infected. They saw me with no problem. I would try another dentist to just see you. How do they know they can't help you if they won't even see you?

When I was pregnant with my son I had to get a letter from my ob telling the dentist that your pregnancy is not high risk and they are clearing you for dental work. I had to get a crown and a root canal with that pregnany. I would contact your ob and get a letter that way it will be easier to find a dentist to get you all fixed up!
