Tramadol restricts oxygen and blood flow to baby. If you ingest tramadol please know it is a class C. NOT FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

Tramadol is contraindicated in any situation where opioids are contraindicated. That been said you are taking buprenorphine which is used to treat narcotic or opioid addiction. And using tramadol together with buprenorphine may increase your risk of seizures. If you absolutely have to take it there must be a dosage reduction in your buprenorphine medication and the tramadol dosage has to be smallest dosage possible.

I have tramadol for a back fusion and was told it was okay to take it only of absolutely necessary. I avoided taking it (and most other drugs) during the first trimester for developmental reasons. I would call your dr for their advice on how much and how often it can be taken.

Yeah I wasn't sure what the tramadol was, I was asking about the cyclobenzapine which is a muscle relaxer. But I'm surprised about the vicodin because that is also an opiate because there's oxycodone in it.

Tramadol is NOT  a muscle relaxer. It is an opioid analgesic passion medication. I took it for 7 years for my back. She probably mentioned methadone because that's what they use for babies who have withdrawals. Tramadol can cause physical dependency, thus the withdrawals. Did your dr prescribe you the tramadol?  And yes they allow you to take vicodin while pregnant.

You Can Take It once In A While As Long As You Don't Take It Every Day. I Had To Stop Taking It Every Day For My Knee And I Took One The Other Day Because It Hurt. If You Do It Is  Higher Risk Of Miscarriage And Premature Birth. Vicoden Is What I Have With Tylenol.

Geesha, what about cyclobenzapine? And what does methadone have to do with tramadol? Methadone treats addiction problems. I'm on bupenerophine, which is kind of like methadone but supposed to be better.

Tramadol may cause life-threatening addiction and withdrawal symptoms in a newborn. But i know things like methadone will cause withdrawl symptoms (NAS) in a newborn but not birth defects

I googled it and it did say it was category c, but I read on a few forums women took it andit had no negative effects. But some women have smoked cigarettes (yuck!) During pregnancy and their babies turned out fine too..

It says tramadol is category C though. If you don't know what that means just type in goggle pregnancy category C.

Yes cyclobenzapine is a muscle relaxed too. More for muscle spasms. It says online that it's category B during pregnancy.
