UTI during pregnancy?

Has anyone ever had a uti while pregnant and was spotting when you wiped?

sorry didn't mean to post already but in aug 07 i had a uti and had some spotting thought it was from the uti well after my antibiotics still spotting well i spotted for about 2 wks then started bleeding heavily and had a  mc i have very very light spotting this pregnancy due to uti but barely there. so just depends.

i would call your doctor it could be a uti and it could be early symptoms of a mc i've had both.

I had some spotting when I wiped and some blood in my urine.  I also had cramping and was getting a lot of braxton hicks.  So I called my doctor and they told me to go to the hospital.  I went and they told me I had a UTI (after checking me for pre-term labor and other fun stuff).  UTI"s are common during pregnancy and often go undetected because the symptoms sometimes aren't there.  If you are miscarrying, it's hard to say how much blood you actually with have.  But cramping would also be happening.  I know my m/c started out with spotting then a few days later was heavy bleeding and heavy cramping.  BUT, it is also common to have spotting during pregnancy, so as long as your doctor is monitoring it I would voice your concerns with him and hopefully they will listen - remember that you know your body better than anyone.  If it is a UTI then they can give you antibiotics for it - but like others said, drink a lot of water and cranberry juice - it won't cure it but it will help.

Yes but no spotting..... I did have one bad enough to cause cramps that sent me to the ER though..... Drink TONS of Cranberry juice (100% juice) and water.... and definitely call the doc.... Unfortunately during pregnancy we are more prone to getting them!

okay... mine was just a little bit when i wiped... nothing major... i just saw blood and freaked out. i called my doctor and they are checking my levels to make sure im not miscarrying... if i were would there be alot of blood do you know?
