the hospital where i live won't tell you at all, you have to pay to go to a private clinic for the 3-d 4-d ultrasound if you want to find out
i found out with my son at 18 weeks and ill be finding out with this one too at 18 weeks...i havent heard of doctor's waiting that long either
My Dr said he always does the gender u/s around 14-15 weeks guess he's just that confindent in what he sees.....
I found out at 17 weeks and yeah I have heard of some doctors wanting to wait that long.
I know--money is tight with us too and we could sure use that $100 towards other things, but I can't wait until birth! I have been wanting to find out so badly that waiting now would drive me crazy. Then if it is a girl, we just have all boys stuff right now--also I don't want to buy all colors that could be for either gender because I want pink stuff for a girl and this cute ladybug crib bedding set:) LOL It may not even be a girl..........I stuff all picked out.
I found out at 16 weeks when I had my amnio, but it depends, my dr with the baby I lost b4 this baby made me wait til 20 weeks. I wanted a boy this and got lucky. I hope everybody gets what they want. ~d
I hate to spend the $150 buck at the same time I don't want to wait another 8 weeks from now....gosh that seems like an eternity. I have 2 girls and 1 boy and really want another boy to even things out. I have most of the baby clothes, but I still want to know so I can start preparing...I'm sure there will be some things I need to get and I have neutral colors. But I have to plan things a little at a time becuase money is tight. I really suck at playing the waiting game.
Wow--I wonder if they scheduled you earlier because you are having twins? I am excited for you!
I know---the waiting is sooo hard and I thought I only have a few more weeks to wait--I am 16w4d and we REALLY want to know. I already have one boy and sooooo want a girl this time and would love to start buying girly stuff. I just wonder what week I should try to schedule it now because I need it to work because of the money!
I'm going Mar 3rd to find out the sexes of my twins.....I'll be 15 weeks 2 days then....
As I found out this time...every place is different...with all of my other pregnancies I found out between 18-21 weeks depending on when I could get schedule for an u/s. This time they won't do my next u/s until 24 weeks. (i'll be 16 tomorrow) That really sucks. My doc even does the 3d/4d but won't do one of those until 34-35 weeks becuase "that's when the baby looks less alien" as he said. ARGHHHHH
I'm seriously considering shelling out the $150 and driving 45 minutes to Macon to get a 3d/4d/gender determination done.
Lidalbit & marie 1210--did they have an easy time with you guys seeing what the sex was???
I really need to time it just right because I have to pay for the ultrasound out of my pocket. ($100) I think the girl on the phone must have been wrong because I have never heard of that before!
With my oldest, I found out at 20 weeks, the younger one at 15 weeks.
Every place is different. I just had a u/s at 15w+days and my dr./u/s tech did try but the unbillcored was between the legs. I go back at 20week to find out.
I found out at 18 weeks....that's crazy...maybe they just want to be sure....
I found out at 20 weeks. This is usually when they will try to see the sex. I haven't heard of them making patients wait until 24 weeks.
