Ultrasound mania!!!

I recently had a pregnancy ultrasound done. I think I was 18 weeks, but my dr has me 2 weeks later than that (so maybe 16 wks). Anyway, my baby had its hand between its legs and we were not able to clearly see whether it was a boy or a girl. I have 3 girls, and none of them ever did this in my other ultrasounds.

However, some of my friends who have little boys say that it might be a boy because the hand was down there. Can someone please tell me if they have experienced this. I am so sick of everyone asking me if it is a boy or a girl and I am also sick of telling them the story when they say "Oh, you didn't want to find out?"!

I don't think my dr will send me for another ultrasound, but I just want to know for my own sanity. The thought of having a little boy after 3 girls is amazing to me.

My son never had his hand there during an ultrasound and I have gone and paid for ultrasounds before so maybe you can look into that and find out what you're having :) Good luck!

I always did the 3D ultrasounds when I was 26-28 weeks, just for fun, and to also give us a definite answer on boy/girl!

And I agree with evthing4reason!

you don't need to explain anything to anyone....just say "we don't know yet" and leave it at that

My son never had his hand down there during ultrasounds. But I agree with mamaofone...I'm not sure where you live, but in most areas there are places you can go to get a non-medical ultrasound. And they are pretty accurate when they tell you the sex. There's one near me called Fetal Focus, and an ultrasound is only $75 or something like that, and they say if they can't tell the sex, the next ultrasound is free. I really hope you get your boy! (I'm hoping for a boy this time, too...boys are so much fun!)
