Unwanted pregnancy advice & belly touching
How did you/do you guys feel about unwanted pregnancy advice and belly touching? Did it/does it bother you when people try and give you advice or touch your belly without even asking? I know I'm still to early in my pregnancy to even be showing but I have already been getting advice without even asking for it lol. What was the craziest/worst advice someone ever gave you and what was your craziest reaction to unsolicited belly touching? I just thought it would be cool to share because this is my first pregnancy and was wondering about this subject.
OMG!!! It drives me insane!!! I work in childcare and every parent i see gives me advice. I understand they wanna be helpful but im pretty sure i can figure it out myself or ask!!! And i dont go around rubbing peopkes over weight bellies or touch them without asking...so why are they touching my belly!!! GARRRR!!!! Thanks.....nant over :D
Lol thats kind of creepy. Maybe she just didnt know how to approach you about it so she followed you until she got the courage to do it. But she shouldve asked.
I was at the shops on my lunch break late in my 1st pregnancy & had a woman staring at me. I went back to work and she followed me and the rubbed my belly completely out of the blue, nutcase!!!
Yeah its not always easy though especially with all of these hormones surging lol. Thanks for the encouraging words :)
Tht is the best thing to do! The older u get the more u realize u do u and take care of ur family and screw wht other ppl think. And like factorymammma said there's way older women who are way more irresponsible than younger moms. :))
Yeah so far I haven't gotten any looks because I'm not showing yet but I'm definitely not looking forward to them. Its nice to know though that I'm not the only one who will go through this and that other people (like you) have gone through it before and understand. Yeah I know what you mean about church I want to find a church and am kind of apprehensive since I'm pregnant you know? And I like your idea just stare right back lol :) it gets the point across.
Yeah me too. Thats why its so frustrating to me when people only judge you by your appearance and age. :P It really doesnt mean anything. But I'm just gonna try to let their looks roll off my shoulders.
I had her when I was 17..and didn't have my second till last yr. Yeah for me when I was preggo w my first I wld get stares and snarles from lots of ppl especially elderly women!! I didn't even feel comfortable in church cause ppl wld talk about me and say I was a bad example!! But now if I get looks and things I jst stare at em back like what the hell u lookin at!!lol and I knwo how it is w the siblin thing..I am the oldest of 7! I was babysittin at 9. So with all of tht and bein preggo at 16 I had to grow up pretty fast.
I know a LOT of older mommas that are way more irresponsible than younger moms. It's just all in the woman!
How old were you? I'm 18 but its not like I'm going to be a bad mom just because I'm young. I think people are much to quick to look at someone and automatically put them in some stereotype you know? They don't know me. Little do they know I'm the oldest of eight siblings and I helped raise all of them from newborns to tweens. Shoot I was babysitting and changing diapers when I was in kindergarten! Yeah my mom wasnt exactly the best back then lol. Thats interesting how they judge you when your with your hubby but help you when he isnt there.
Yeah I had my first one really young and now I'm preggo w my 3rd and only 24 so I still get looks from ppl and unwanted advise..ppl just don't seem to b very polite and speak before they think. U shld c the looks I get with a 10month old on my hip and my big ol' pregnant belly ad holdin my 7 yr old daughters hand..lol some ppl just look at me like I'm from another planet but if my hubby isn't with me I have ppl like helpin me w groceries or holdin doors and things like tht...
Yeah it isnt fair when people expect you do to that. Just because the baby is inside of you doesnt mean that you have control over what the baby does.
I hate when people are disappointed because I cant wake my baby up. They just attach themselves to my stomach and stare at me like I am supposed to do a trick!
Doing spells for bad things is the equivalent of asking God to smite someone. It rarely, if ever works (no matter the religion and how asked), and isn't looked too kindly upon. Especially depending on which kind of witchcraft you're doing. We were always told if you wish something bad on someone, you might as well ask it on yourself.
Lol yeah some people are much more comfortable and confident when it comes to nude pregnancy pictures. I personally probably wont get nude pics but rather cover up like you did :)
Lol yeah. I swear once you get pregnant and start showing you become the most popular person wherever you are lol. And yeah that is quite the oxymoron. But the thing is though that his aunt and his mom dont use the spells for good. They use them to do bad things to whoever upsets them.
Well the craziest advice has been from a friend who's a new mommy. She tells me to take pictures nude because pregnancy is a beautiful thing. I agree its beautiful but I don't feel I need naked pics. Covered up w/ some clothes will do,LOL!
I think it's just the joy of a baby.... No one can resist it lol.
And the whole witchcraft I wouldn't worry about lol. I was brought up with an odd family. Dad was catholic, mum lutheran, grandma in dads side catholic (because of her husband) with pagan beliefs (oxymoron much?), her mom was native american so lots of "witchcraft" was passed down in the family. Spells are the same thing as prayer.... Just fancy lol... And thats what we were taught too :-)

I think the U.S. needs some more reserve lol. Your lucky :) that is unless you want and like the attention. Some people like it and some don't. But regardless I do think that U.S. citizens could use some more reserve lol. Yeah us pregnant women are pretty stubborn whether this is our first or 5th pregnancy. If we don't like the advice we dont listen to it lol

Yeah some of them are pretty funny huh :) I like your idea of being in a hurry it made me laugh :) (but in a good way). This is my first pregnancy but I still dont like people acting like I'm stupid or something. But I guess like the other ladies have said its just another part of pregnancy.
Lol yeah he sounds strange and Im sure that would catch anyone off guard lol :) Even though this will be my first child I still dont like it when people think that just because I'm young and this is my first baby that they know how to better take care of me and my baby than I do. I find it insulting sometimes. But thats just me and it might be the hormones but still lol.
Yeah thats exactly what would happen if I told everyone no touchy touchy lol. Only thing is though with my boyfriends family is that they go so far as to call cps on you just because they don't like you. And apparently my boyfriends aunt and mom practice witchcraft which REALLY bothers me! Especially since the aunt is the one who calls cps. And DOES not like me my boyfriend or his family. My boyfriend doesnt believe in witchcraft so he doesnt care but personally even though I dont practice it I believe that its real and dont want anybody trying to mess up me or my baby or our family. :(
