So I have a bad chest/cough. I've been coughing flem (phlegm) up all day. I don't want to take anything while I'm pregnant. I'm not complaining or anything. But the thing is I'm due very soon. Will my baby be okay?? I'm planning to breast feed and maybe it won't be a good idea if I'm still this way?
Ur still going to be in close contact with baby whether u bf or not just after they're born (I dont know how u couldn't be) get as much rest and fluids and extra vitamin c now and use a cool mist humidifier all the time until u have to go in might check with ur doc cuz there are some things they can give u. If u were planning on bfing DONT give up on it cuz u have a cold it won't transfer thru breastmilk (I was exclusive feeding my son when I was sick couple times though not right after birth) id just hate to hear someone say they had wanted to do it and dried up because of a cold they got over in a week or 2. Not trying to judge just trying to help but if u want to do it im just saying u still can! Good luck and hope u feel better before u have to deliver
I got a bad cold. turned into bronchitis. I got admited into hospital cos I couldn't breathe. turned out I have asthma as well. got given anti biotics I refused to take them. cos I always get infections when I take them. took over 2weeks for my body to fight it. but I come through with no infections baby perfect. I dont regret taking pills at all. :) I just ate EXTREMELY healthy and my own body fought the infection off :)
