Update and Venting about Doctors!!

Yesterday I called the local doctors office and made an appt specifically to get a pregnancy test done (blood). So today I went in they brought me into a room and left me there for about 30 mins the doctor then comes in and asks me why I think I'm pregnant and I told her because my period is now 5 days late. My boobs hurt i'm gassy. And all she said to me was go on birthcontrol for a month and see next month if your period comes. WTF she didn't make me pee in a cup or anything. I flat our told her I wanted a blood test done and she was really upset!! What is it with doctors now adays. I did test on my own again about 2pm and it said negative. So maybe i'm not and i'll just look like a fool now haha.

I did end up getting a blood test she said she wasn't allowed to refuse. I live in a very rural area. This is the only doctor around the next closest one is an hour away and with a daycare I don't get that much time to run there and back. I will know the results tomorrow. I will be really disappointed if i'm not pregnant but there will always be next month :)

Thats not fair, You booked a blood test so thats what you should get! I would complain!!!

Well don't go back there again, LOL! I would retest at home first and only call your doctor when you get a positive or are 2 weeks late without any sign of your period in sight.

When you test, you should use the first morning urine.  It is the most concentrated and thus provides the most accurate results.  If you are testing at 2PM, it is possible that you are pregnant but that your urine is too diluted to register positive.
