I've read that girls are classified in ultrasound's by a lack of penis. So basically if they don't see a penis they say girl. Because of this it is much more common for them to be wrong about it being a girl as opposed to wrong about it being a boy.

I can understand you feeling a little crushed though! We had it in our heads since about 12-14 weeks that we were having a boy. We ended up being right but I definitely would have felt a little crushed if it'd been a girl. Not because of the fact that it's a girl but just because I'd already began bonding with my boy and we already refereed to him by the name we picked. It would have been sad to have to let go of that.

It was just two weeks ago 18weeks :( and yes it's def a boy he was standing proud lol the ultra sound tech was amused at the size lol my mom thinks it's twins hiding behind one another but I'm small for 20w

If they told you it was a girl shortly into your first trimester, the genitals may not have been large enough at that point for them to accurately see.
Boys are a lot of fun though!
