Uterine infection
Has anybody gotten a uterine infection after delivering a baby, after a d&c or after miscarrying? I ended in the hosptial for 2 days (after being on antibiodics for 3 days) for intervienous antibiotics then had to go back every 8 hours for 5 days (instead of staying on the matrenity floor after losing my baby). The Dr in emerge told me it ws quite common after what i went through but my ob/gyn was very upset when i saw him 3 days later that they hadn't paged him to the ER the night i went in with cramps, he orderd me straight to admitting and ordered an ultasound to make sure there wasn't any tissure left otherwise i'd have a d&c (which i didn't need to ).
This happened to my cousin a couple of weeks ago after delivering her baby. The afterbirth was coming out in chunks instead of all together. The had her push out as much as possible and kept her in the hospital for 2 days. After that they checked her and ended up doing a D&C to get the rest out.
